Who we are
This site (faqtorytheme.com) is operated by LOM Design, a design studio based in Tokyo, Japan. For anything in this policy, write to support [at] faqtorytheme.com.
What we collect, and why
When you browse this site
Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and timestamps. These are generated automatically by the hosting service, used to keep the site running and secure, and not linked to any individual.
We use a privacy-friendly analytics service to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not track you across websites, and does not collect anything that identifies you personally.
When you contact us
If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you write to us. We use it to answer you, and we keep the conversation so we have context if you write again. Ask us to delete it and we will.
When you buy FAQtory
Purchases are processed by Freemius, Inc., which acts as the Merchant of Record — legally, they are the seller. Your payment details go to Freemius and their payment processors, never to us. From them we receive limited order information: your name, email address, country, and what you bought. We use this to deliver your license, send update notices, and provide support.
Freemius handles your payment data under their own privacy policy, which we'd encourage you to read.
Cookies
This site itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies. During checkout, Freemius may set cookies necessary to process your order.
Services we rely on
- Freemius — payments, licensing, and update delivery
- Our web host — serves this site and keeps access logs
- Google Fonts — web fonts used for the site's typography
Each of these receives only what it needs to do its job. We have no other trackers, pixels, or advertising partners.
How long we keep things
Support emails are kept as long as they're useful for supporting you. Order records are retained by Freemius under their own retention policy, and for as long as we may need them for accounting and tax purposes. Server logs rotate automatically.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you're in the EU, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar laws, you also have rights to object to processing, to restrict it, and to receive your data in a portable form.
To exercise any of these, email support [at] faqtorytheme.com. For data held by Freemius as the seller, you may need to contact them directly — we'll help you do that if it's easier.
Where your data goes
We are based in Japan, and our service providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside your own country. Freemius maintains its own safeguards for international transfers as part of its role as Merchant of Record.
Children
FAQtory is a product for people building websites, and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the site.
